You may remember the serious incident that Rachel Gill mentioned about the sleepers on Facebook (this was a lady who broke her ankle on wet / slippy sleepers).

This is being looked at by the HSE and we (the FBOA) have provided all our records dating back over 6 years where these issues have been logged. Fingers crossed the HSE can have the leverage for this to be finally addressed.

The Lady from the HSE / Environmental Health has asked everyone for logs of sleeper incidents and to the extent of AWAY Resorts knoweldge and awareness of the issues. This means that she is only interested in events from 2022 onwards. She needs to know

• the nature of the incident
• the date (appox)
• any injuries sustained
• the important one- was it reported to Away Resorts (i.e. she wants to build a case showing they knew / didn’t know)
