Existing members wishing to renew: please read this

Take a moment to familiarise yourself with the aims of the FBOA, taken from our Constitution:

2.1 To operate as the recognised tenants association for the purposes of the provisions of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 relating to service charges;

2.2 To ensure the ongoing success of the Bay through the delivery of an outstanding holiday experience for all visitors (whether owners or paying guests) ranging from the accommodation on offer, through to excellent quality eateries, leisure facilities, and grounds maintenance;

2.3 To be a representative voice and provide a means to communicate with Essential Vivendi Ltd or their successors to ensure the successful management and operation of the site;

2.4 To work with Essential Vivendi Ltd or their successors to ensure the requirements and rights laid down in the Lease are maintained;

2.5 To work with Essential Vivendi Ltd or their successors to ensure that annual charges are fair, appropriate, proportionate and accurate;

2.6 To ensure the association is independent from Essential Vivendi Ltd or their successors and its directors, employees and agents are excluded from joining it.

In order to renew your membership, please complete the following information:

If you would like to renew membership of FBOA for multiple plots that you own, please enter all the plot numbers in the box, separating them with commas. For example 12, 102, 37B.

This must be the email address to which you receive emails from us
If you are renewing for more than one plot please separate the numbers by commas. Please note: your plot number is almost certainly not the number on your front door! It's normally a number ('112') and for apartments sometimes a number and a letter ('27A'). For properties on The Meadows please enter 'TM' then your plot number, e.g. 'TM123'.

Renewal of membership

By ticking the box below you confirm you would like to renew your membership of FBOA for 2026. This means:

  • You commit to pay your fees to the association for all plots you have mentioned above
  • You agree to the aims of the association
  • You give permission for the FBOA to retain legal recognition to undertake its work and to deliver an outstanding holiday / ownership experience at The Bay Filey.

Data Protection

In order to recognise and work as an association to meet the associations objectives, it may be necessary to share your data with Away Resorts and other regulated bodies (e.g. a property tribunal). FBOA will only share the following data with Away Resorts (or a third party):

  • Forename
  • Surname
  • Plot number

FBOA will only share your data for ensuring we meet our objectives namely 2.1 - 2.6 and to ensure that we can retain legal recognition as an association representing owners of properties on The Bay Filey. For the avoidance of doubt: to retain recognition, we are obligated to share the names of the owners and plot numbers.

Also, to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation, we need your permission to store and process your membership information. Thank you.

Mailing list

Renewing your membership will also add you to the Association email mailing list. This is our primary method of communicating with members.

We send out updates on the work of the association and issues that affect owners - no more than about one email per week. Your details will not be used for marketing purposes.
