I am emailing to ask whether owners might be able to support us with an ongoing issue we are experiencing regarding guests and owners parking on grassed areas across the site.

As you may have noticed recently, several grass areas have suffered significant damage due to vehicles being parked on them during the winter months.

Myself and Tom spent time this morning putting up to 10 parking notices on vehicles, 4 of which are on Green Close where one vehicle has clearly been wheel spinning on the wet grass leaving a rather deep hole in the surface.

We have implemented a number of measures to address this, including increased signage around the site and in reception, as well as adding “Do Not Park on the Grass” notices to our welcome packs. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, the issue persists.

I wondered if it would be possible for you to post a reminder on the FBOA sites, asking owners to ensure their private guests are aware that parking on the grass is not permitted. We are currently facing repair costs amounting to several thousand pounds, and with further wet and rainy months expected, the damage is likely to worsen before the ground has a chance to dry out.
