Update on the football weekend

The FBOA have approached Stacey (the interim GM) to seek further assurances about the football event next weekend.

This is the outcome of the conversations:

  • The Bay are hiring extra staff to patrol around the village in addition to the staff that are being provided by the trip organisers
  • This will result in extra visible patrols from away staff
  • They have hired extra staff to patrol / enforce site rules around the public areas including extra staff in the pub and arcade
  • The Bay are providing additional events such as archery and organised team sports on the football pitch which are for the tour children
  • Reception staff have all been prepared and know to issue the site rules for every check in
  • The check in for the tournament guests is at the Four Cats pizzeria and will be dealt with separately to ensure that there is a feeling of “what they have to do and expect”
  • The guests will be given a full set of instructions stating where they can and can’t go
  • The Bay are not allowing the tournament guests to book a table at the pub (yet) so owners and their guests can take priority – it may be worth either you or your guests booking in early

It is clear after speaking with Stacey they have this in hand, have learned from last year and have listened to our concerns. Stacey will be on site herself and will use the FBOA if messages need communicating etc and visa versa
